Our fairytale wedding started long before the wedding march started….it started with a phone call to our local travel agent
When my husband and I got engaged, we both wanted a destination wedding and after much debate about the fact that many of our friends and families could not make the trip, we decided to go ahead with it. We were referred to Karen Hintze at Complete Travel by my husband’s co-worker. She was patient and prompt in responding to a myriad of questions, she was also phenomenal at dealing with our cross border concerns. Not only were we traveling with US residents, but we also had many Canadian friends and family coming as well. When we arrived at the Ocean Blue Golf and Beach Resort we were awe struck at the beauty of our surroundings. Planning a wedding at a location that you cannot see directly can be stressful, but our minds were put to rest when we stepped off the bus onto the property. Lush gardens, a warm breeze and beautiful scenery greeted us. Our fairytale had already begun. I decided that even if we got a monsoon, I would still be happy with our decision to have a destination wedding because we would be spending 7 wonderful days with our friends and family. Our Wedding Coordinator was very helpful and guided us through all the decisions with respect to fresh cut Caribbean flowers, restaurant choices, photo packages and more. Only a few hours after arriving at the resort, everything was planned and set to go.
Our wedding was booked for 6 p.m. on March 10 and although many said this time might be too late, I couldn’t help but think about the sun that would be setting behind us as we said our vows. The day of the wedding (unlike a traditional wedding) was stress free. I was in the pool having a drink with our wedding guests up until a few hours before the wedding. Everyone was carefree and relaxed. Everything that I had discussed with our Wedding Coordinator was taken care of down to the last detail including the music we chose, the photography and the food.
I am so glad that we opted to have a destination wedding and would recommend it for any couple getting married.

My husband and I exchanged our vows standing in a 100 foot waterfall called Likeke Waterfall, on the beautiful island of Oahu on January 21, 2009. This was truly a fantasy come true for me and would not have been possible without the wonderful assistance of Karen Hintze from Complete Travel Services. Karen assisted me in not only the hotel and airfare, but also in setting up the wedding and making my dream come true.

We had the time of our lives and so did all of our guests. Every single couple said they would like to go back there next year and some even said that it was the best place they had ever been (coming from a guy who has been to over 100 different countries and stays at top of the line places). We were so thankful to have good weather and everyone forgot about all the swine flu hype, so it was perfect! I would definitely recommend the Grand Pariso for weddings, the wedding planner went above and beyond for us and the prices were actually reasonable!

This was truly the vacation of a lifetime. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, and we felt very welcome. The wedding and pictures were perfect...worth every penny. Everything was wonderful, truly a tropical paradise. We did a lot of stuff once we were there; swam with dolphins, rented jet skies, rode the boat to Rick's Cafe, snorkeled, and got massages. On the way to Dolphin Cove, we had an awesome tour guide who told us a lot about Jamaica 's history and culture. We had a blast. We will definitely vacation at Sandals again.

Thank you so much for all your help in making our honeymoon amazing! We were immediately upgraded to an ocean front room, with chocolates and champagne waiting for our arrival. We had the most fantastic time at the Grand. The staff there made our honeymoon so special. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed; we've never truly felt that way on a vacation. We highly recommend the Grand. It was extremely clean, the food was good and the drinks were the best.
I've attached two photos of us so you can finally put faces to the names! Also, I definitely want to stay in touch with you for our future travel needs. You have been great to work with and if we have anyone of our friends looking for travel help, we will definitely direct them your way.

Brian and I were married on March 2, 1999 at Grand Lido in Negril, Jamaica. It was one of the happiest days of our lives. The wedding ceremony and honeymoon were incredible thanks to Karen Hintze, our travel agent who set up the whole trip. She made sure our special day was spectacular!
When we decided to renew our wedding vows in 2009 (ten years later)....of course we called Karen to make the arrangements. Since she did such a fabulous job the first time, we just knew she could do it again. Karen did not let us down! The ceremony and second honeymoon at Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica were awesome! It was just as romantic and fun as before.
We cannot thank Karen enough for continually helping to make our dreams come true.....
